The Witcher saga has been an amazing journey of fascinating characters and unforgettable moments. With each of its successive installments, the franchise has only grown its relationship further with the players so far.
However, when it comes to the most adored title in the series’ history, then it has to be The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. First released in 2015, the third game in the trilogy can be easily described as, probably, one of the best video games of all time. The Witcher 3 fans shower praises for one of the greatest games from CD Projekt RED
The action RPG made its original debut on May 18th, 2015, developed by Polish studio CD Projekt Red. Coming as a sequel to its celebrated predecessor, Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, it also featured an open-world setting with tons of customization options.
Just in case if anyone forgot, all of The Witcher games are based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s series of fantasy novels.
The third installment takes place in the fictional world of Slavic where players take control of the iconic protagonist Geralt of Rivia. He’s a monster slayer, for hire, known as a Witcher. In The Witcher 3, he’s on a quest to find his adopted daughter Ciri, who’s on the run from the Wild Hunt.
Upon its initial launch, The Witcher 3 turned into an instant success, receiving rave reactions from the critics. On Metacritic, it’s still got an astounding score of 93 percent for PC; the same goes for the other consoles as well.
On May 18, 2022, the amazing CDPR title completed seven years of its release. While sharing the news on social media, the team of The Witcher 3 also announced that its next-gen version is coming in Q4 2022.
