In case anyone missed it, Tuesday saw an unexpected message released from the Series Producer Eiji Aonuma. In a brief video, he shared the unfortunate news of Zelda 2 getting delayed till Spring 2023.

While mentioning what the game will offer, he said that the sequel will consist of a “wider variety of features you can enjoy“. It implies that the development team is taking extra time to put in more content and added gameplay options for the Nintendo Switch players.

But it seems like the delay has hurt Nintendo the most, even more than the curious Zelda fans themselves.

After the announcement, the shares fell down by more than four percent, on Wednesday in Tokyo, according to Bloomberg. It can be due to the growing concerns regarding the state of the awaited installment. Previously, it was expected to come out in 2022 itself.

But again, this dip in its share price won’t likely remain for long. Because Nintendo has got a long list of other launches this year. Simply put, its pipeline seems to be quite strong in this calendar, even without a new Zelda entry.
