The Nintendo Direct Event 2021 took place over the weekend and brought forth a list of all the thrilling titles that will launch on the platform over winter.
If you think Nintendo revealed all their cards during the event, you’re mistaken. Following the Direct event, there has been a lot of news regarding Nintendo Switch. From potential additional systems that might launch for Switch’s Online Service soon to brand-new upcoming games and more. Nintendo Switch: expected additions in the Online Live-Service

Even though it hasn’t been long since the recent expansion pack announcement, bringing Sega Mega Drive (Genesis) and Nintendo 64 games by the end of October, insiders that delivered the news of Sega and 64 games have more news for you.
According to the leakers, there are more additional consoles making their way to Switch’s online live service. Essentially, the previously rumored Game Boy and Game Boy Color will come to the platform soon. Although there are no specifications regarding the dates and no official word, leakers seem pretty confident.

Eurogamer’s news editor, Tom Philips took to Twitter recently to share his thoughts on the release of 64 and genesis titles. He also suggests Game Boy and the Color variant will be announced soon and says, “I should say, I don’t know if Game Boy/Color will be on the higher pricing tier” in a follow-up tweet. But a well-renowned leaker, Nate the Hate, suggests otherwise according to Nintendo Life. Nate said, “I would anticipate that Game Boy and Game Boy Color are part of the current Nintendo Switch Online service and they [Nintendo] didn’t want to conflate the two.”.

If the rumors turn out to be true, this could be huge for Nintendo Switch and could have fans splurging to play their favorite classic games. Although, it will likely be a while before we get an official word. Perhaps the developers will make the announcement alongside the arrival of Sega and 64 titles. What do you think?
