Activision Blizzard is on the roll nowadays; their recently launched title, Diablo IV, has already created a lot of buzz. This game, unsurprisingly, turned out to be a groundbreaking success, so much so that it is at the top of the sales charts. Blizzard has been continuously updating the game to keep players happy with it.

But if a recent rumor is to be believed, there is something else this studio is actually working on right now. A game that fans have been asking for a very long time but haven’t gotten any speck of information on.

Jezz Corden might have revealed that StarCraft 3 is in development!

Blizzard has created some of the most iconic franchises in gaming. They hardly have more than a few major franchises to their name, but whatever they have has turned into gold. This goes for the Warcraft, Diablo, StarCraft, and Overwatch series. Pretty much all of those games have that charm that this developer is known for so well.

Another thing this developer is just way too good at is keeping their franchises alive. The best example of this is the latest expansion of their very long-running MMORPG World of Warcraft: Dragonflight. And fans actually respond to their games too; pretty much every single one of their games launches to critical acclaim.

Blizzard’s only series that has not seen anything new in terms of content for at least the last five years is StarCraft. This sci-fi real-time strategy series is as popular as any other game Blizzard has made. It has a huge fan base that is eagerly waiting for its turn to get hyped for a new game. And now, it appears that the fan base will finally have something to be cheerful about!

Recently, in a drunk AMA where Jezz Corden answered fan questions while drunk, he let something very interesting slip. A user by the name of @justin5037 asked him, “Favorite WOW memory and do you, Xbox think will have any interest in reviving StarCraft if the deal goes through?

And Jezz candidly replied, “Msft won’t need to revive StarCraft.

This seemed to slip by this subreddit, but Jez Corden implies (or rather straight up claims) StarCraft 3 is in development.

And then someone asked him if he had any information on StarCraft 3, to which he simply replied, “Yep.” If Microsoft was trying to keep this reveal a secret, it’s out now. Jezz is well known for knowing many things about Microsoft that only an insider would know.

And that is why fans can hope that this information has a speck of truth to it. And so, fans awaiting a new StarCraft game can rejoice, as a new game might just be on the horizon.
