ID Studio has been making classics ever since its inception in the 19080s. The game developer released some really exciting titles, but Doom became the most famous.

Following the success of their uber-violent hellhound-beating sim Doom, ID decided to do something new. Hence, they developed a new engine for it, they called the game Quake and named their engine Quake Engine. It was not uncommon for developers to name their engines after their most popular video games.

That game was undoubtedly a massive success, and they decided to follow it up with a sequel. Quake II, used an engine called the Quake II engine. A very fast-paced story-based game with a very curious and engaging multiplayer mode.

It was an even larger success than its predecessor, and maybe that’s why Bethesda and IDTech have decided to bring it to the modern gamer. The best part is that, if a recent rumor is to be believed, this game will be launching later today. This is a very interesting prospect, given the fact that many people are not against trying new and weird games nowadays. There’s a high chance this game might meet its audience once again and provide its fanbase with hours and hours of multiplayer fun.

The game would cost $9.99, according to these reports. Game Pass subscribers would be able to play this game free of cost by the way. This one would feature some enhancements to adhere to modern standards. That’s why it is being called Quake II Enhanced Edition.
