Starfield is a special project for Todd Howard’s team at Bethesda. There’s no doubt about this fact and the director has time and again emphasized on explaining how massive and unique the game’s going to be. Especially when it comes to the other entries he’s worked on in the past. All things considered, he’s having extreme confidence in the Xbox exclusive.

However, going by a newly leaked intel, Starfield fans might be in for an unexpected situation going forward. It looks like their anticipated game, coming to the Xbox, is simply not ready to be released. At least that’s what a recently revealed report has claimed.

Horns is a person on Resetera, who was the first to leak Tango Gameworks’ Hi-Fi Rush before its official announcement during the Xbox and Bethesda Developer Direct on January 25. Now it seems like this insider has once again managed to find a very crucial piece of information on two of the upcoming and awaited Xbox exclusives. While one is Arkane Studios’ Redfall, the other project is obviously Starfield – one of the most anticipated games of this year.

Going by the details leaked by Horns on Resetera, Starfield is far from being ready to be shipped. And it’s when the release date for the video game is set for June 2023.

Here’s what the scooper mentioned on the website:

“Redfall is coming first and is in rough shape still, and probably should use more quality control, but it’s still in better shape than Starfield. Bethesda wants more time with Starfield and if they get their way Starfield will come in the fall 2023. If MS gets their way it comes out in this fiscal year. If Starfield comes in June expect it to be in rough shape.”

It appears as if both titles are currently in rough shape. But it’s Bethesda‘s project which is slightly in a more poor condition. That’s what Horns has revealed. Considering the insider’s previous leak on Hi-Fi Rush, the latest news might not be good. Especially for the fans who are eager to play the open-world space epic. On the other hand, Redfall looks to be in a little better form before its launch on May 2.
