Previously, Leaker and data miner HYPEX reported on the snow layer melting for the map starting January 7. The snow layer will melt in nine stages and each stage will unlock some new content in the game. Here is a look at how the map will look at each stage.

Furthermore, HYPEX has also reported that the third snow stage will go live on 10 January, which is three days from today. Assuming the snowmelt occurs every three days, players might unlock the Tilted Towers, The IO and their Cave POI, Butter Cake, Grenade Launchers, etc. pretty soon. The leaker expects that the new contents might be available by January 18, just at the right time during Tilted Towers’ birthday.

The Tilted Towers were introduced back during Chapter 1’s Season 2 and were named a Point of Interest in the game. They’re located between Loot Lake and Shifty Shafts and featured an area with the most number of rooms, item chests, windows, and high-rise buildings.

The Tilted Towers were removed by the end of Chapter 1 and, since then, various iterations have been featured in the game. There was even a Batman version of the Tilted Towers called Gotham City. During the start of Chapter 2 Season 5, the Tilted Towers area was combined with Salty Springs to form the new Salty Towers.

Besides this, Fortnite is also bringing back competitive events after a long hiatus. The All Valleys Cup will be a Solo Event starting from January 8. The rewards are themed around the Netflix series Cobra Kai and will reward some exciting sprays to the players!
