Massive Fan Petition Sees Mojang Studios Honor Technoblade With Another Incredible Minecraft Gesture

Technoblade aka Alex was an extremely popular Minecraft YouTuber. He succumbed to Sarcoma, a type of bone cancer, last week after a year-long battle. His father took to his YouTube channel to let his fans know of the incident. Since then, Technoblade’s fandom had been trying to create memories for the pro-Minecrafter in his favorite game.

While a number of creators, including his friendly rival Dream and his favorite server, Hypixel, built structures to honor Technoblade, fans wanted Mojang Studios to add an official touch too. As it happens, Mojang Studios had already added Technoblade’s signature ‘pig with a crown’ character to the launcher’s home screen. But that didn’t seem enough a tribute for a Minecraft icon like Alex.

After receiving multiple requests and a Change.org petition, Mojang Studios has reportedly added another signature dialogue of the late talent to the game. And, fans are ecstatic about it!

Minecraft gets another official Technoblade symbol

According to a Twitter user of the name ‘sbi updates’, Mojang Studios has taken a Change.org petition into consideration and added Technoblade’s dialogue to Minecraft. Players will now see the sentence “Technoblade Never Dies!” as splash text in the game. It will appear when players launch and load the game.

The Change.org petition by a fan reportedly had over 75000 signatures and hundreds of shares on Twitter. As claimed by Limp_Needleworker_65 (the fan behind the idea) on Reddit, a representative from Mojang Studios contacted him on Discord to let him know about his plan’s success.

According to the representative, Mojang Studios will add the dialogue not only to Java but also to the Bedrock edition. “So proud of what we all came together to accomplish and so glad that techno’s legacy will now be permanently planted in the game,” the dedicated fan posted.

As expected, fans were extremely happy at the update. Moreover, some have already started witnessing Techno’s dialogue in the game!

Alex was a young legend in the Minecraft community. He had not only gained popularity due to his impeccable skills in the game but also owing to his extremely humble and giving nature. His demise had a huge impact on the fandom.
