Has Call of Duty Warzone ever been in a good place ever since its release in 2020? The issue of hackers being a part of the game has constantly haunted gamers who play with honor. The playerbase just couldn’t expect to have a normal experience in the Battle Royale title without experiencing something negative. Things got so bad that popular streamers and a big chunk of the playerbase walked away from the game.

To prevent the title from falling into the hands of these miscreants again, Raven Software and Activision invested a great deal of time and money to come up with a Kernel-level anti-cheat system. Sadly, even after the release of the anti-cheat, the game has experienced a DDoS attack that knocked out the server.

Cheaters’ frustration is obvious, the anti-cheat system works and they cannot continue their unchecked run. However, this sadistic philosophy is truly heartbreaking. If cheaters can’t play the game, then they will not allow anyone else to do so as well.

DDoS attacks target the server and no anti-cheat system can comprehend or prevent it. An anti-cheat system simply protects the playerbase, but it cannot do the same for the title in the real world. Developers will have to come up with a different countermeasure to prevent DDoS attacks.
