Has Call of Duty Warzone ever been in a good place ever since its release in 2020? The issue of hackers being a part of the game has constantly haunted gamers who play with honor. The playerbase just couldn’t expect to have a normal experience in the Battle Royale title without experiencing something negative. Things got so bad that popular streamers and a big chunk of the playerbase walked away from the game.
To prevent the title from falling into the hands of these miscreants again, Raven Software and Activision invested a great deal of time and money to come up with a Kernel-level anti-cheat system. Sadly, even after the release of the anti-cheat, the game has experienced a DDoS attack that knocked out the server.

Call of Duty Warzone players infuriated over recent DDoS attack
No one truly knows what is happening inside the HQ of Raven Software and Activision or how they are planning to tackle this situation. The studio’s Battle Royale title constantly finds itself being at the mercy of hackers. This time around, the hackers have outdone themselves by targeting the servers that control the game the world over.

Cheating inside the game was one thing, but attacking the servers is taking things to whole a new level. This gamer shared a video of the game glitching out on him on the opening screen.

Warzone just is done and the latest controversy around the new map and now a DDoS attack is slowly but surely killing the game.

This suggests that the anti-cheat system ricochet works, and that is the reason the miscreant went after the server. How will Raven Software and Activision respond?
was prob hackers because they launched the ricochet anti cheat

Cheaters’ frustration is obvious, the anti-cheat system works and they cannot continue their unchecked run. However, this sadistic philosophy is truly heartbreaking. If cheaters can’t play the game, then they will not allow anyone else to do so as well.
Imagine being so upset at a video game for installing this software that you do this lol

DDoS attacks target the server and no anti-cheat system can comprehend or prevent it. An anti-cheat system simply protects the playerbase, but it cannot do the same for the title in the real world. Developers will have to come up with a different countermeasure to prevent DDoS attacks.

The extent of the attack isn’t limited to just Warzone, as Vanguard players are also at the mercy of these hackers.
As if Vangaurd wasn’t experiencing connection issues already

This fan believes Doom Eternal is a better title than Warzone and the community should follow his lead.
This is why I don't use Battlenet. I'll stick to playing DOOM Eternal.

Disappointing day for fans who have made use of double XP and other tokens in the game. The servers are down and your token will probably expire by the time things get back to normal. Will Activision issue refunds for all the tokens used?
Can I get my double xp token back? Lmao
