BioWare has finally announced a release date for the much awaited Mass Effect Legendary Edition. The game brings back the iconic trilogy remastered for next generation devices and it arrives on May 14, 2021.
The trilogy follows the story of Commander Shephard, whose mission is to unite the galactic community against the Reapers, an advanced machine race that destroys life every 50,000 years. The remastered version will bring an entire community of fans back to the series since the trilogy ended with Mass Effect 3, which released in 2012.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition will have major visual upgrades
This will be the first time a game from the series has been remastered. Developers BioWare had the tough task of creating a game without rebuilding it from the ground up. The task at hand became more difficult when they had to work with a game engine created for a game that released in 2007.
If we are to judge by the initial looks, BioWare seems to have outdone themselves. There are real time reflections with different lighting effects, the greenery seems much more thick and natural. There is also much more scenic light present in the game, with the addition of real time reflections and lighting. The characters have more detail and sharpness with depth in skin pores and reflective lighting.

The game excels in visual fidelity. The developers also announced that there is no change in the game’s story or any additional scenes. Along with that, players have a lot more control over the creation of their Commander Shepard design. The game will also have faster loading times and much more seamless transitions to different scenarios.
The game comes packed with all the 40 DLCs the trilogy has had over the years. The game contains all the single player and multiplayer DLCs from the first in Bring Down The Sky to the last in Citadel.
