Yuri Lowenthal, the voice actor for Peter Parker in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was put under spotlight by the Hollywood reporter. The success of the game has propelled Lowenthal’s career forward, and that’s what he discusses during the interview.

During the interview, Yuri Lowenthal touched upon many topics related to the new game. Most of which were questions about his experience working on such an ambitious project. Among queries about the game, some interesting questions were asked. In an interesting turn of events, Lowenthal revealed who his all-time favorite Spider-Man was.

After answering many questions about the game and Yuri Lowenthal’s experience of working on it, one question was asked which had fans curious. The interviewer asked, “Outside of yours and Nadji’s roles, who’s your personal favorite Spider-Man? I know you’re a big comic book reader.”

To this question, Yuri Lowenthal answered, “In the movies, Tobey (Maguire) was always my guy. Watching Spider-Man: No Way Home, I watched all the joys of those guys hanging out together. Honestly, I could have watched an entire movie of those three Spider-Men sitting in a room, shooting the shit.”

When it came to other media that covered Spider-Man’s story, Lowenthal mentioned his friend Josh Keaton playing the role in The Spectacular Spider-Man is his favorite. He went on to add that it wouldn’t be fair to say so as Josh is his friend and he goes on to call him “Spectacular”. When it comes to comic books, Yuri mentioned his favorite writers to be Brian Michael Bendis and Dan Slott as Yuri believes they “get Spider-Man”

Yuri Lowenthal’s voice-acting roles

While being the newest face of Spider-Man, Yuri Lowenthal also has had a promising voice acting career. During his career, he has played some of the most iconic fictional characters. This list includes his work as a voice actor for Video games, anime, and cartoons.

Lowenthal recalls that his initial voice acting experiences encompassed his role as the Prince in Ubisoft’s “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.” He considers this role a significant breakthrough in his career and believes he contributed to the character’s inception.

Yuri Lowenthal extended his voice acting career into anime, where he lent his voice to various characters in shows such as Rave Master, Zatch Bell!, Girls Bravo, Scrapped Princess, Kyo Kara Maoh, and Saiyuki Reload. He also auditioned for roles in Naruto, which became a popular anime series in the U.S. Eventually, he secured the role of Sasuke Uchiha, a character that enabled him to delve into deeper and darker aspects, thereby enhancing the series with added depth.

Yuri Lowenthal’s successful voice acting career also includes various video game roles. He provided the voice for the protagonist in Persona 3 and voiced Yosuke Hanamura in Persona 4. He also brought Cecil Harvey to life in the Nintendo DS remake of Final Fantasy IV.
