Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 hosts a bunch of fun features in the game along with just letting players sling webs around. While being a niche, there are some players that absolutely, absolutely love the photo mode in video games. Every Spider-Man fan should inherently like photographs, considering Peter Parker started his journey by working for the Daily Bugle.

While Peter was the first one to make selfies cool by capturing those beautiful shots of him swinging across the city, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 gives players the opportunity to do the same. The game introduces one of the best photo modes for those picture maniacs. As it is difficult to always get things picture-perfect, here are some tips players can use to become a Spidey-selfie pro.

How to get the best shot in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2?

The first step will be to keep ‘Photo’ mode handy. Players can do so by assigning a shortcut to trigger Photo mode. They can then map Photo Mode to either the left or right D-Pad button for quick access, ensuring that they are ready to capture a great shot whenever they spot one. The Photo Mode UI and menu options will be familiar to players of the previous two games.

In Camera Mode, players have access to a range of options. They can toggle Hero or Enemy visibility on or off, giving them control over the in-game visuals. They can also customize their experience by changing character suits and styles while adjusting the camera’s precision to fine-tune their shots to perfection.

The Lens tab provides options for adjusting the Field of View (FOV) and Exposure, as well as Depth of Field settings. Players can create background and foreground blurring effects to emphasize the main subject. Filters and Frames are available, including new styles specific to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. The Overlays tab introduces Vignette, Film Grain, and Sharpening to enhance the images.

Players can get better pictures by altering the speed of the game. The game speed can be dropped to 70%, 50%, and 30% so it’s easier to capture the perfect frame. Another thing to do is use poses, artificial lighting, and camera angles the game has to offer.

What are the different photo modes in the game?

Spider-Man 2 gives players a few different modes to do their dream photoshoot. While soaring the skies of New York through a thread of the web, players can activate Character mode, which will let them pick from a few unique poses and facial expressions to do the shoot. In the lighting mode, players can set up to 3 artificial lights as spotlights, which can further be fine-tuned.

The game also brings in a Sticker Mode, which allows players to choose from various sticker types, resize them, and place them in their shot. These stickers can add fun and unique elements to your photographs. While the game just got released, the devs have planned an update to add the Action Figure mode. This mode will scale down the hero to make them appear as tiny figures in the game world. Players can then place them on tables, signs, or various surfaces for creative compositions.

Players can combine all these features to create stunning compositions while experimenting with different elements to enhance the aesthetics of each picture. The scene the game is set in has some stunning and the New York City that Insomnia has imaged, is absolutely beautiful. So grab your camera and get clicking!
