As Xbox and PlayStation compete for the best games, both consoles have two top-tier exclusives coming out this year. For PlayStation, their superhero adventure Spider-Man 2 has a sequel coming out this year. On the other hand, Xbox fans cannot wait to get their hands on Starfield.

With both titles building up to their final release, one fan caught an interesting hint on the Limited Edition PS5 bundle for Spider-Man 2. If the detail is true, it means PlayStation 5 users may need nearly 100GB of free space to install the game, matching storage numbers for Starfield.

It all started when fans caught a glimpse of Spider-Man 2’s Limited Edition Console Bundle. Initially, what really captivated fans was the design of the console. It sported a unique Spider-Man livery, showing both Spider-Men taking on Venom. However, upon taking a closer look, it looks like the details show a 98GB install requirement.

If this is true, Spider-Man 2 will make a big leap from the original game’s release back in 2018. Back then, the initial install for the title required merely 45GB. Even with its release on the PS5, the requirement was somewhere around 71GB.

Fans believe the size of the game makes it PlayStation 5’s Starfield. As fans of the Xbox title may know, the sheer scale of Starfield saw it reach install sizes of over 110GB on both Xbox and PC. While initially skeptical of the size, fans got around to it once they realized it was meant for the title. Starfield has hundreds of worlds set for exploration.

Similarly, it could also spell positive things for Spider-Man 2. The sequel is a massive leap in terms of the sheer size of the map. In addition to the city of New York, the web slingers can go across the bridge. In addition to the map getting bigger, Spider-Man 2 also takes advantage of the hardware upgrades of PS5, making graphics better. You can even control the way the combat plays out in the title, slowing it down if you think it is what you need.
