Spider-Man games have remained one of the most coveted franchises in the video game industry since the release of the first title in 1982. While the early games have their cult following, Insomniac Games’ takeover has overhauled the franchise entirely. Marvel’s Spier-Man was released on PlayStation 4 in 2018 and was a smash hit. Since then, there have been vehement requests for a sequel that would progress on the legacy of the franchise.

In a recent interview, Bryan Intihar, Insomniac Games Director, and Bill Rosemann, Vice President of Marvel, revealed more information about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. The two directors claimed that the two main protagonists of the game would be going through multiple difficult stages in their lives making them more relatable. Intihar said that the popularity of Spider-Man lies in the fact that their struggles are more grounded than other superheroes. He added that Peter and Miles’ life problems are something that most of us have gone through.
