Grand news for all the Spider-Man fans! After a long silence from the studio, Crystal Dynamics (developers of Marvel’s Avengers) has recently confirmed that the PlayStation exclusive Spider-Man DLC will have its own story and cut-scenes. Looks like Marvel’s Avengers has big plans for Spidy.
This news makes the long-awaited debut even more exciting. Dan Matlack (senior producer) responded to a question on the Discord server about whether everyone’s favorite webhead was coming with his own story.

To this direct question, Matlack replied very calmly and said, “SpiderMan is what we call an “event” so he will have cutscene and a story for sure,” reports IGN.
Other than this, Matlack also gave fans some details about the game’s very first highly anticipated Raid, in which players will be able to battle against Klaw. He is the ultimate villain of Marvel’s Avengers last expansion, War of Wakanda.

Above all, Matlack also highlighted the point that the Raid is going to be extremely unique and engaging. According to Matlack, the raid will be the most challenging one yet. It will majorly test player’s individual observation skills and teamwork. “It’s a mix, but will be super fun” he added.
First thing first, Spider-Man is all set to make its entry into Marvel’s universe later this year as a completely playable character. Unfortunately, this is all Crystal Dynamics has revealed thus far. Not only this, but the studio also confirmed that Spider-Man will not be showcased in PlayStation Livestream coming this week; Marvel’s Avenger first confirmed the arrival of spidy way back in August 2020.
Square Enix is also planning to bring the popular Loki, Scarlet Witch, and more to the title as showcased by the leak earlier this year. However, this is not officially confirmed yet.
