Markiplier started from humble beginnings in Honolulu to settling up in Los Angeles. Further, there are reports that the 33-year-old has a net worth of $38 million after his decade-long hustle on YouTube. Markiplier has various brand deals, merchandise sales, and ad revenue on his videos. Recently, the YouTuber opened up about his thoughts on his vast fortune.
Markiplier prioritizes content over money
Fischbach recently appeared on Logan Paul’s YouTube channel, Impaulsive. In the video, Paul shared with Markiplier that Forbes has listed Markiplier among the richest YouTubers and has a $38 million net worth. However, Markiplier revealed that he doesn’t care about the money but instead focuses on the content. “I don’t focus on money. First, it just so happens that, like in my philosophy of how I create, I just so happen to find success also,” said Markiplier.

The American YouTuber continued, “I never in any way had the idea that money was the first priority of it, and obviously, like I have enough money. I don’t need more money, and I donate a lot of the money that I get to charity. But it’s at the same time these ideas that lean more into these creative and letting go. And these kinds of things that are more one-off things and more catered towards emotion and not really a payoff of like good content they can be incredibly successful if the business is your strategy.”
