Not to mention, Nintendo is mostly famous for its Super Mario franchise and several fans love to get their hands on the iconic Mario featured games. Surprisingly, the CEO of Tesla once portrayed a classical character from the Mario franchise in a comedy skit with SNL.

Elon Musk once cosplayed the iconic villain from Mario’s universe

The business mogul played a role in one of the longest-running network television shows called Saturday Night Live, popularly known as SNL. It is a satirical variety show which has been airing since 1975. Furthermore, the sketch comedy has amassed a whopping 930 episodes ranging between 47 seasons as of now.

Back in 2021, the SpaceX founder made his SNL debut by performing a monologue and entertaining the masses by playing many distinct characters. Amongst which he portrayed the antagonist in Nintendo’s Mario Series, Wario.

Musk copied Wario down to the last alphabet

Wario is the principal adversary and the final boss in the Mario world. Wario made his first appearance back in 1992 since then fans love this fictional antihero. Despite being a negative role, you just can’t seem to dislike him.

51-year-old multi-billionaire duplicated Wario’s body language and accent in a very mocking and subtle fashion. The skit also included his partner Grimes playing Princess Peach and Pete Davidson. The play showed Musk as Wario being held in court for the murder of Mario, being defended by his lawyer played by Mikey Day.

This performance delighted fans. One tweet read, “How was Elon better at acting than the actual “actors” ?.” Whereas another comment read, “He carried them, they even were able to get some ratings again bc of his appearance. The irony, lol 😂”
