Nintendo adds a spectacular feature to the upcoming Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC!

The Japanese video games giant surprised fans worldwide when they announced the Course Booster Pass. This colossal DLC includes a whopping 48 new courses for the racing title. Doubling the current number of available tracks. The stellar move not only extends the life of the game but brings it closer to being the ultimate Mario Kart.

However, Nintendo plans on one-upping your expectations even further. Zach from SwitchForce notes:

“We now know that [in] these courses, you can pick your path.”

This revelation means not only does the upcoming DLC expand the base game, but actually elevates it.

Having the choice to choose your own path means the game isn’t forcing you to follow a linear route set for you. Instead, players have the freedom to experiment and enjoy the game in whatever manner suits them best.

Zach adds that according to a recent Nintendo press release, the upcoming courses are an amalgamation of different variants from Mario Kart Tour. So tracks like Tokyo Blue, Paris Promenade, and Ninja Hideaway will offer options to the player to choose their own path. This confirms Nintendo modified the courses to be bigger and better.

Accordingly, fans could now blaze down any route of their choosing on one giant map instead of having to select different versions of the same map like Mario Kart Tour.
