As reported by the organization Bleacher Report in October 2020, Milwaukee Bucks player Giannis Antetokounmpo, popularly known as “Greek Freak,” stepped on the Madden NFL servers. Above all, along with him were his two brothers Thanasis Antetokounmpo and Kostas Antetokounmpo who also playing in the NBA.

To further extend the collaboration gesture, the Antetokounmpo brothers got to feature in “The Yard” mode, which was a newly launched game mode inspired by backyard football. Moreover, Giannis was available in the video game’s “Superstar KO.” Madden NFL 21 also facilitated custom gear for the players in an effort to celebrate the heritage of the Greek family.

Giannis had gone to Twitter to share the celebratory collaboration with the community. In October 2020, he tweeted, “It’s time I brought the #AntetokounBros to The Yard. Squad up with the fam in #MaddenNFL21 #EAathlete”. Curiously Giannis once had jokingly tweeted about a pitcher’s pass as he had assisted his teammate on the basketball court.
