The TwitchCon is one of the biggest fan conventions. In this event, fans get the opportunity to meet their favorite streamers on the purple platform. However, this year’s TwitchCon San Diego was even more special as it returned after a two-year-long hiatus because of the global pandemic.

Many famous streamers, like HasanAbi, Tommyinnit, Dream, Disguised Toast, and GeorgeNotFound attended the event. The 2022 edition of TwitchCon was a significant hit, although there were some issues.

GeorgeNotFound had to pay for his hotel at TwitchCon

George recently attended a podcast by the YouTube channel ‘The Yard’ alongside other Minecraft streamers like Karl Jacobs. He talked about many things there, including Twitch not paying for his hotel at the fan convention.

The Minecraft streamer shared that he asked his Twitch representative for a hotel, and that person sent a hotel booking link in return. George then booked a room and gave his card, thinking it was for “incidentals.” However, the hotel “took like two thousand dollars” from his card.

The 25-year-old said even Ludwig found Twitch’s actions “embarrassing.” The Mogul Mail creator said, “Twitch way to ride him for all his worth.” After all, GeorgeNotFound is among the top streamers, with over 4.9 million followers on the purple platform.

Despite being a big-time content creator, Twitch didn’t pay for George’s hotel at the fan convention. Usually, organizers take care of the hotel and travel expenses of the famous personalities attending events like TwitchCon.

Ludwig gives a word of advice to the Minecraft streamer

Hearing that George paid for his hotel, Ludwig revealed he requested Twitch to pay for his travel, but they denied it. The other streamers also said Twitch didn’t pay for their travels, either. But the purple platform did pay for the hotel stay.

Karl revealed George was late in confirming to attend the fan convention. This might be why the purple platform couldn’t book a hotel for the Minecraft star. So, the YouTube streamer Ludwig advised, “Next time, just say yes and then get the hotel,” and then he can decide about going to the event.
