Ludwig Ahgren started streaming on Twitch, soon becoming one of the biggest stars in Twitch. But in 2020, he transitioned to YouTube on an exclusive contract. His move hasn’t been disappointing for him or the Google-owned platform as his livestream events bring over hundred and thousands of viewerships.
Ludwig breaks his viewership record with the chessboxing event
The 27-year-old YouTuber recently hosted Mogul Chessboxing Championship on December 11 at the Galen Center in Los Angeles. It was a unique competition where many famous creators and streamers like Disguised Toast, Andrea Botrez, and PointCrow competed. In this event, the competitors exchanged punches while playing Super Smash Bros Melee or standard chess in the alternative rounds.
This was one of the grandest events hosted by the Mogul Mail creator. At one point, the five-hour-long stream hit a viewership of over 270,000. It was the most number of views Ludwig has ever got on his livestream. He first set the record of 146,000 plus viewership by simply livestreaming the Minecraft streamer Dream’s face reveal.
Ludwig’s latest Mogul Chessboxing Championship has broken all his past viewership records on both Twitch and YouTube. This amazing event stream by Ludwig got over 270,000 views, making a new record for the 27-year-old creator. Fans were piling up on the stream to see this unique championship where creators box against each other while playing chess.
IShowSpeed fans are not impressed with Ludwig’s record
The eSports reporter Jake Lucky shared the news about Ludwig’s great feat. However, the comments to this tweet about Ludwig were swarmed by IShowSpeed fans. They called out Jake Lucky for not reporting about Speed when he hit over 300,000 viewership on two streams last week. They were not happy that there was no attention towards Speed’s achievement, while Ludwig’s event was getting hyped so much. Let’s look at some of the reactions from the fans.
