It seems like the ongoing phase is pretty unfavorable for the COD franchise. Nothing seems to be going right for the long-running series whatsoever. As if the backlash regarding the ongoing installment Call of Duty Modern Warfare II wasn’t enough already, an unexpected situation has now revealed more troubles for the people at Activision.
By now everyone knows that the Creative 2.0 feature of Fortnite is capable of doing a lot of things. Using this tool, many innovative creators have recently managed to replicate some classic COD maps and modes. On top of it, Epic Games’ battle royale is also expected to receive the first-person gameplay mechanic soon.
Considering this, many people in the gaming community have started assuming that Fortnite might overshadow COD titles, especially Warzone 2. The latter is an FPS battle royale. However, that’s not exactly what everyone thinks right now. At least when it comes to the competition between Fortnite and COD.

Players think Call of Duty is still unbeatable and Fortnite can’t touch it even after going first-person!
Renowned streamer and content creator ModernWarzone recently posted a Tweet on social media. He mentioned how Fortnite could overtake COD Warzone, in terms of the player base, with its upcoming FPS functionality. “Warzone is running out of time to get their shit together, “ he wrote. Firstly, have a look at the Tweet below:

But it looks like real Call of Duty enthusiasts simply don’t agree with what ModernWarzone has tried to explain. In fact, a lot of players came up with their own reactions, trying to prove why COD is still hard to beat, especially for Fortnite.
FPS fans mentioned how Fortnite is not more than just a cartoonish battle royale. On the other hand, a game like Call of Duty Warzone has got more realism and better quality overall. “The casual player won’t move to a cartoon shooter. Anyone leaving wz are streamers,” wrote one user on Twitter.

Fortnite released different numbers than in that tweet I thought. Regardless, it’ll never kill cod or anything. They’re entirely different feels and atmosphere

No, it won't. I tried fortnight, and it can't touch COD. I'm not sure why people compare the two.
