A genre that the Esports industry just won’t get tired of is shooting games. Since over two decades ago, Call of Duty has been the most widely played first-person shooter franchise worldwide. BattleBit Remastered is a classic example of such a creation that pulled off large numbers keeping against the COD dominance. 

BattleBit Remastered was initially announced in 2016 for Steam. It had a crazy amount of hype and exceptional response which led the makers to take some time and plan further. Eventually, the title was made available in June this year. After marking its presence on Steam, it is ready to thrash some more CoD numbers as seen from its early projections. 

BattleBit Remastered Hits Sales Milestone In Just Two Weeks of Its Release

BattleBit Remastered was expected to do well after the response it had received on Steam. The project was created by a group of three indie developers. Two weeks after its sales in the mainstream market, the makers have revealed the initial numbers. The numbers are even surprising for the critics who had expected the game to do well. 

Surpassing all the predictions, BattleBit Remastered has sold 1.8 million copies till now. It is important to know the numbers are massive considering the game had been available on Steam for so long. More than 90% of the fan reviews it has received call the game a ‘masterpiece’. The achievements are huge for any title. But for a title that was supposed to be a small-scale project of three individuals, the numbers are surreal.

The comparison of BattleBit with the Call of Duty franchise is unavoidable. The game gives a lot of similar vibes to the classic series. It is advertised as a massive low poly FPS that can support up to as many as 254 players. But one wouldn’t be wrong if they sold the game by calling it a LEGO version of Call of Duty.

Activision Studios might not be enjoying the response BattleBit Remastered is receiving. Fans have constantly wanted some more labeled FPS to get into the market and provide them with options.
