We never stop being surprised by The Last of Us, and in episode 5, a brand-new kind of infected appeared from Kansas City’s underground to pose a threat to Joel and Ellie. There was also a chance to have a closer look at the “antagonists,” like Kathleen and Perry, even though the plot revolved around Joel and Ellie and how they managed to live in Kansas City. As with much of this series, you might cry after reading what Jeffrey Pierce had to say at the end of episode 5.
Jeffrey Pierce, who many would instantly remember from his voice and motion capture performances as Tommy, Joel’s brother in both The Last of Us video games, portrayed the role of Perry.
It’s a lovely hint that they took the actor into consideration, even though it’s for a completely minor character since he got the chance to participate in Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann’s adaptation. BEWARE! the following contains episode 5 spoilers.
