Will Amazon’s Lost Ark take over PUBG for the top spot?

Lost Ark is a massive, multiplayer online title that initially arrived in December 2019 in the South Korea region. After gaining huge success, it was recently released for the United States and Europe, on February 11, 2022.

The free-to-play game offers a big virtual world consisting of challenging battles and combat sequences. Players also get options to explore new areas and find lost treasures.

In case you missed it, Lost Ark became the fourth-best Steam title within hours of its launch on the digital platform. While it was bound to grow even further, no one expected it to perform this well.

Lost Ark has now reached the peak concurrent player figure of 1.32 million, thus taking the second spot on the Steam list. Currently, only PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS remains above the Amazon Game Studios’ MMO, with a peak of 3.25 million concurrent players.

It’s remarkable to witness a newly launched multiplayer defeat a highly popular game like CS:GO, which had a peak concurrent player figure of nearly 1.31 million. Speaking of the other two rank holders, then Dota 2 and Cyberpunk 2077 are in the fourth and fifth positions on the Steam list, with 1.29 million and 1.05 million concurrent players.

Lost Ark is now available for the PC platform.
