For the past few weeks, Liotta had been shooting for his upcoming film, Dangerous Waters in the Dominican Republic, where he was found dead. The unexpected news shook his fans as the American actor had a special place in their hearts.

The voice of Tommy Vercetti has gone too soon

Born on December 18th, 1954, the American man was an inspiration to many. Ray stepped into Hollywood just like any other actor but soon grabbed the spotlight with his hit movies. They include GoodFellas, Field of Dreams, Something Wild, Hannibal, Blow, and No Sudden Move. He won many awards throughout his career, G-Phoria’s Best Voice Performance (Male Category), NAVGTR’s Voice Performance, Satellite Awards’, Outstanding Character of an Interactive Media, and VGA’s Best Performance by a Human.

Interestingly, that did not prove enough as the man voiced a legendary game character, Tommy Vercetti. The character belongs to the GTA: Vice City, a Rockstar Games creation that came out in 2002. Tommy was the protagonist of the story who was on his journey to becoming the king of his city. To date, he is one of the most loved fictional characters in the world, thanks to Ray Liotta’s legendary voice.

Today marks a sad day as Ray Liotta is no more. ‘Deadline’ was the first to report this news, as they said that the veteran passed away in his sleep. As a result, all his fans reacted to it alongside the GTA community as they lost their iconic character.
