In a recent Nintendo Switch Direct, Metroid Prime Remastered was launched. The game was one of the most awaited Nintendo Switch games of all time. Fans have been waiting for it ever since the console launched.
Only thing is that the console maker decided to launch only the first part of the Metroid Prime trilogy rather than launching all three at the same time. Although, the first part being launched alone has been justified. This game is much more than just a Remaster of a GameCube title.

Nintendo’s Metroid Prime Remastered was released recently. But in reality, the game is much more than a remaster. By the looks of it, Metroid Prime Remastered is a very impressive Remake of the original, with improved textures and assets. Other than that, it is very faithful to its original.
Players can explore this unknown planet with all modern controls using the twin sticks on the Joy-Cons. Which is apt for a modern first-person shooter. Other than that, there are abilities to be unlocked and numerous bosses to defeat.
The best part about this game, though, is its visuals. It runs at 60 FPS and has been made from the ground up with upgraded textures and assets. This makes the game look really good and some are even comparing the game’s quality with that of Demon’s Souls Remake for PlayStation 5.

That game was also a very faithful Remake of Elden Ring creator From Software’s masterpiece and the first-ever Souls game ever made.
This game has struck fans hard as some expected only a resolution upgrade and some added consoles, much like the Resident Evil 4 version of Switch. Instead, they got these above-mentioned improvements. While others were expecting the whole trilogy to release together, it appears putting this much work on games tends to delay them a little.
Fans have a polarising response to this Remaster
Fans of the series have a very different sort of response to this game. While some got more than they ever expected, others seem to have never wanted this game for Switch. They keep asking for Metroid Prime 4 to be released.
NO BUT WHY DOES METROID PRIME REMASTER LITERALLY LOOK BETTER THAN A TON OF MODERN SWITCH GAMES.

That in-house Nintendo Polish. All games made by first-party studios always look fantastic on the switch. 3rd party developers seem to struggle with the right polish for the game.

Honestly, just the fact they even improved the graphics is insane. Skyward Sword HD and Mario 3D All-Stars didn't get anywhere near this much effort, Retro Studios must've really cared about making it worthwhile.

Having so much fun, and sure hope 2&3 get the same treatment I’d happily pay the $40 on each . pic.twitter.com/sAhomsp7DM

Was legit thinking same thing. Waiting for DF to confirm the resolution but damn, it looks to me like 1080P/60 with a ton of beautiful lighting & enhancements. Dev's need to use this more simple approach with the framework maybe? It's crazy for 21 years later!

Some fans have even mentioned that its pricing is way better than The Last of Us Part 1. That remake was also a mere re-skin but was priced at $70.
