Fans are already hyped for PlayStation VR2
While sharing its official image, PlayStation also mentioned lots of key details on its main blog. Talking about the VR2, Senior Vice President Hideaki Nishino discussed the design inspiration behind the upcoming gaming product.
The PlayStation VR2 has a similar appearance as the PS VR2 Sense controller. The circular orb shape is for the 360 degree view, for the players to dive into an immersive experience.
Furthermore, the blog mentions that the design is based on the PS5 family of products. In fact, as per Nishino, his team already had the next VR headset in mind, while making the current gen PlayStation 5. And it can be seen quite clearly in the image posted in the tweet as well.

As per Nishino, they wanted the PS VR2 to be more than an attractive-looking product. They want to make the players immersed in the world of virtual reality gaming once again.
“That’s why we paid very close attention to the ergonomics of the headset and conducted extensive testing to ensure a comfortable feel for a variety of head sizes.”
Coming back to the newly revealed image of PlayStation VR2 itself, then it instantly became a hit among the fans. As soon as the tweet was posted, many people, anticipating the virtual reality headset, began expressing their curiosity about the product.
Most of the fans are excited to have the next gen VR headset upon its launch. One enthusiastic fan wrote:
“This looks absolutely amazing. I love that they are keeping the dual tone aesthetic.”

I really like the look of this. The headband looks nice and sturdy and there seem to be a lot of ergonomic adjustments for comfort. Design looks good too.
Now we just need PC support 🤞

The fact that this beats out almost every other consumer VR headset, and by a pretty decent margin, is impressive. This isn’t gonna be cheap, unless they can sell at a loss and make bank with good games.

I have a feeling this will sell out instantly similar to the PS5.
