Competitive first-person shooters like Valorant, Counter-Strike, and more have produced modern-day superstars of eSports. Retired professional player Shroud is basically the founding member of this elite group. The 26-year-old streamer built his career on the back of his godly skills, which propelled his name into the gaming world. This old-school veteran of the FPS genre has been playing the games with similar old-school in-game settings.

However, a recent discovery has forced him to change his ways, as the streamer discovered a key difference between hold vs toggle scoping. The streamer showcased the difference between the two and stated that hold scope is simply better.

You are used to that in CS, but hold in this game is f*****g insane. Look how fast I am scoping, look at how fast I am scoping, look at this s**t. It is really, really good for those aggressive opers, who want to take an angle and f*****g bolt, you know?”

Shroud spills the beans on hitting those insane OP shots

Evident by the aforementioned clip, Shroud may have figured out a secret recipe that will help you improve. Holding an angle with the toggle takes your mind off the environment and it demands you to click once more to exit the scope. Meanwhile, the hold setting will immediately turn off the scope, as soon as you let go of the right click of your mouse pad. This could result in much cleaner gameplay with a significant boost to speed.

Moreover, the aggressive players will find the hold quite useful as it will allow them to attempt those crispy quick scopes. The scope comes out faster and everything simply works in better harmony. Professional Valorant player and reigning world champion, Sentinels ‘TenZ’ also backed Shroud’s claim and confirmed that hold scope is simply better.
