This has simply caused mental turmoil, leading to a breakdown, despite reaching stardom.
Now, we have enough examples to explain this, but the recent one just plays out. After all, it includes Ada Wong, the iconic character from Resident Evil 4 Remake, that received hate from fans. Sadly, the community was not in awe of her role, as they found it disinterested and unsettling. So, they criticized her with no limit, leading to a massive controversy.

Capcom’s RE4 Remake broke multiple records with unending love from fans. Everything about that game just remained perfect, except one that did not feel up to the mark. It was Lily Gao’s performance as Ada Wong, the controversial spy of the iconic series.
Apparently, Resident Evil’s community felt something missing as her role felt half-hearted. Given that Ada’s character brought out sultry, it felt like she did not do justice. And for that, they had to criticize her until she broke down. Quite unacceptable, right? Well, it’s true. Netizens slammed Lily Gao so badly that she had to take rigorous steps to save herself from the hate.
Sadly, she had to turn off replies and erase everything on her Instagram account, just so the haters could quit trolling. Moreover, she also had to place a late 2020 post in the spotlight that spoke about ‘The Role Of Privilege.’ The rest was just all gone with no access to drop the hate. However, some of her fans instantly walked in for the rescue, talking about her fantastic role in the 2021 movie. One user said, “I watched an interview before Welcome To Raccoon City was released of Lily Gao being so excited to play Ada Wong, I can’t believe people are harassing her personal profiles and ruining this moment for her.” And then, others joined in talking more.

All in all, netizens’ behavior would never remain justified as they took it too far. Well, it is completely okay to voice your opinion, but to drop so much hate on someone that tried to do their best is simply unacceptable.
