Xbox is just winning right now. Suddenly they seem to have an arsenal of titles that are exclusive to the platform. Microsoft’s attempts at shaking up the market have been successful so far. Now, the devs of the Bloodborne/Souls-like game, Lies of P, have extended their gratitude towards Xbox once again. Given how Sony and FromSoftware aren’t showing any activity with new titles in the genre, Lies of P may be able to keep fans satiated for a while.

Round8 and Neowiz Gamez’ Lies of P has been announced to be available on Xbox Game Pass from day 1. The devs only recently have also acknowledged how teaming up with Xbox helped the game development smoothly.

The Xbox Game Pass will be available in August and the community is excited to see how Microsoft makes some moves with it. The FTC-Xbox case has had its winner and Xbox is in the clear with acquiring the Call of Duty devs. With this, the revelation of Lies of P’s inclusion in the Game Pass only strengthens Xbox’s position.

Lies of P has turned quite a lot of heads with his rather dark depiction of a classic tale. Think of Lies of P as Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind but with chainsaws in it. Neowiz Gamez’s upcoming is a Dark Souls-inspired game that takes an imaginative take on The Adventures of Pinocchio. If that doesn’t get your attention we don’t know what will.

Lies of P dev thanks Xbox

Jiwon Choi, project director of Lies of P, thinks being available on the Game Pass will allow more players to experience the game. Offering access to hundreds of titles for a low monthly fee through the Game Pass has proved to be a pretty smart business strategy by Xbox. Thus, the devs are optimistic that the Microsoft platform will benefit the fans and the game alike.

For a Souls-like having Pinocchio’s story, giving more people access to it can be an immense opportunity.
