Lies of P is one of the best soul-like games that are not made by FromSoftware. It’s pretty well known by the fans that this game’s developers, Neowiz Games, and Round 8 Studio, are heavily inspired by Bloodborne, one of the best games made by FromSoftware. But can you find any similarity between the titles?
While the developers took inspiration from the above-mentioned horror souls borne title, there are some noticeable differences. For one, Lies of P is all about robots, or in the game’s terminology, puppets. But a recent revelation by an ardent fan has revealed a deeper connection between Lies of P and its inspiration.
In Lies of P, P stands for much more than just Pinocchio!

There’s a feeling in Bloodborne, that of dread, a feeling that the player character at all times is surrounded by nothing but death. Players walk around the city of Yharnam, hunting beats and hearing the cries of children and the wailing of humans. The lies of P are not any different, but in this game, player character P has the task of hunting puppets, not beasts. Developers really did a good job transitioning that feel into a brand-new world.

But recently, an X user by the name of Gene Park has suggested that even Lies of P’s name has a secret similarity with Bloodborne. They suggested that the letter P in the title may also mean blood. That’s what they call blood in Korean.
They specifically said, “Yes, Lies of P is a Korean play on words. P means blood in Korean. The game can also be called Lies of Blood, which ties into the story too.”

Excellent observation on their part, and one that brings Bloodborne and Lies of P much closer in relation to being similar. Both now have blood in their names too. It cannot be a coincidence; it looks like the developers deliberately chose this name with a hidden meaning to throw the fans off guard. Impressive indeed.
Many could not get enough of this souls-like
Fans who started playing Lies of P are not having enough of this game. They are playing it again and again, some even boasting of having completed NG+ and NG++ of it. NG+ means new game plus, and in souls-like games, new game+ difficulty keeps increasing with every new plus.

There’s even a DLC on the way for this game, and while details on that DLC are currently scarce, the developers have somewhat confirmed its existence. Fans can expect that DLC to drop sometime next year.
