If you go to the ‘Karmic Dice’ interface under the settings you will find it turned on by default. The enabling of Karmic Dice leads to your enemies hitting you more often than usual and significantly harder. The effect will further increase with the player’s armor class. Any armor class above 23 will face damage 4 times more than usual. This also makes the player’s tank build-up ineffective.
The insight was first discovered by a gamer who shared the information on Reddit seven months ago. The user went on to explain how they went on to conclude Karmic Dice’s effect on damage and gameplay. Through the post, the user wrote, “I recently did multiple solo playthroughs, and when I wanted to do an “as defensive as possible” playthrough, I noticed how it was quite a struggle. Of course, the game is not intended to be played through with a single character, however, having completed the EA with multiple other builds, I noticed that this playthrough was significantly more difficult and I had to reload a lot.”

After analyzing further on the issue, the gamer collected data on all the encounters and damage. The user claimed to have experimented with over 100 attacks for Armor classes 15,17,19,21,23. These encounters were analyzed both with Kamric dice enabled and disabled. Counting to a total roll of 1369, the latter concluded the hack.
The user’s seven-month-old discovery has surfaced yet again on social media. This accounts for the release of Baldur’s Gate 3 being just around the corner. Of course, with the title already being one heck of a deal, players wouldn’t want to make it harder with a default setting influence.
