Sony’s PlayStation 5 is currently in the prime of its life cycle. With a bunch of excellent games in its library and even more games making their way to it pretty soon, users of this console hardly have a shortage of stuff to play.
But some are left disappointed that even though the console delivers an excellent gaming experience, it hardly meets its promise of ultra-HD gaming without compromise. It looks like Sony is all set to change that with the PlayStation 5 Pro.

It appears as if a pro version of video game consoles has become a necessity. This trend started from the last generation with the PlayStation Pro and Xbox One X. Those consoles offered gamers a noticeable boost from their usual consoles. Playing normal games at the improved resolution, moving from 1080p to 1440p, and running some games at a 60-fps framerate made a difference.
Maybe that’s what Sony is aiming for yet again, but this time their target is to offer 4K 60 with hardware-accelerated ray tracing. This was only talked about before, but now some rumored specs of Sony’s PlayStation 5 Pro make it evident that they are indeed trying to give players a 4K 60 experience.
Recently, some rumored specs for the PlayStation 5 were leaked online, and they make it seem pretty exciting.

The prospect is nice enough; here’s hoping it turns out to be true. This would give developers much more room for improvement. One thing that’s not very clear as of yet is if this console would feature an inbuilt disc drive or if would it follow the idea of a detachable disc drive.
