There were even talks of this console’s DLSS capabilities. For those unaware, DLSS is Nvidia’s proprietary image reconstruction technology that reconstructs lower-resolution images into better quality with the help of AI. This means that Switch 2 would now be able to run Nintendo Switch games at an increased resolution flawlessly. It can also do ray tracing, someone is also stating that RT will be a common thing on Switch 2.

It is interesting yet puzzling, given the fact that consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox One Series X aren’t even able to make raytracing a common thing in console gaming. There are some games with ray tracing. But those only add some lighting and global illumination to their list of effects. Hence, one can’t help but wonder, how would a portable console do it.
