Dragon Age: Dreadwolf was revealed to be in development in 2018. EA decided to cancel another game that was in the works under the codename “Joplion”. That cancellation affected Bioware and EA in a very negative way. Not to mention that a number of resignations followed as well.

EA wanted it to have live service elements similar to Anthem, hence they canceled it. But many people working on it did not like this decision and left Bioware and the publisher. Eventually, the developer started working on yet another game with the codename “Morrison”.

Bioware built it from scratch to include multiplayer components. But once Anthem failed to impress the fans, EA told the studio to drop the multiplayer component altogether. This happened back in 2021. After that, a lot of changes followed in Bioware: many left, many joined, designations changed, and the game continued with its development.

EA announced the game in 2018, and ever since then, fans have heard a lot about it except for a launch date. Recently, they even got to see some gameplay of that title through a leak. One Kotaku article even suggested that this game would leave behind its classic combat in favor of a more real-time approach. They said it “features fully real-time combat and was allegedly designed as BioWare’s take on God of War”.

All this information and there was no news of this game’s release anywhere. But recently, a report from EA suggested that the project would skip the 2023 fiscal year altogether. It means that the title will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox consoles, and PC sometime after April 2024. This launch window suggests fans might start seeing gameplay footage and a bunch of trailers sooner than later.
