Nintendo Switch gets ‘Groups’
If you were tired of choosing from hundreds of game icons in your library, this update is just for you. Users would no longer need to choose from a dizzying plethora of options from their library. Instead, they can simply group their go-to applications into neat little folders for convenience. These folders are easily customizable and can support a total of 20,000 games. So there’s enough space for ages!

Nintendo has allowed users to create a grand total of 100 groups, as per reporting by SwitchForce, with 200 titles per group. While this isn’t a novel feature, the fact that it offers a newfound level of comfort and ease to owners of the handheld is undeniable. Gone is the perennial scrolling. In turn, fans can make groups based on developers, characters, genre, or more.
But how does one use this nifty feature? Nintendo provides some easy-to-follow steps. First, ensure update 14.0.0 has finished downloading. After that, open the Switch Home menu, scroll to the right and select All Software. From there, users simply need to press the L Button to create or open their groups.
This quality of life feature has just one drawback: you can’t access groups from the home screen. However, fans are still loving the feature.
