Latest Nintendo Switch Releases Continue to Make Life Difficult for Elden Ring

It seems like this year belongs to Nintendo no matter what title it releases. Following the success of Pokemon Legends: Arceus, its recent offering in Kirby and the Forgotten Land has also managed to impress the players. And the amazing sales performance of the Switch release is proof of that, according to the latest reports.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land has become the best-selling game in the UK for a second week. While there were other heavyweights as well, such as Elden Ring, the Kirby entry overtook them pretty nicely.

In case anyone missed it, the latest installment in the franchise made its way on March 25th, 2022 for the Switch console. Moreover, it’s the first 3D entry in the series as well. Ever since its debut, the game has received mostly positive reviews from critics. Not to mention that the players themselves have adored it as well.

As per the report by GamesIndustry.biz, Kirby and the Forgotten Land is the number one selling title in the UK. It has done it for a second week. Furthermore, it is the fastest-selling Kirby game in the series as well, while being the fourth-best selling Kirby title in the region’s history.

Talking about other rank holders on the charts, then Elden Ring, the FromSoftware blockbuster, rose to the second spot. This is despite the fantasy RPG seeing a drop of 22 percent in sales. Meanwhile, Nintendo’s other amazing game, Pokemon Legends: Arceus, also managed to jump up in the UK sales chart. It clinched the third spot despite a drop of three percent in sales week-on-week.
