Ubisoft delays the launch of the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake further to FY 2023
As per reports from IGN, websites like GameStop and Amazon have already started delisting the Sands of Time remake.

There have been major concerns amongst the retailers and the players that the remake must have been canceled. However, to everyone’s relief, development is still ongoing, and the project has been further delayed.

As per reports, the project is expected by the Fiscal Year 2023. Earlier, the expected date for the game was January 21, 2021. The project also faced changes in the development team, as it was passed around from Ubisoft Mumbai and Pune, India, to Ubisoft Montreal.
In a statement as per IGN, Ubisoft says, “The development of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake will now be led by Ubisoft Montreal. We’re proud of the work achieved by Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai, and Ubisoft Montreal will benefit from their learnings as the new team will continue the work to deliver a great remake.”
They further add, “As a consequence, we are no longer targeting a FY23 release anymore and the game has been delisted. If players wish to cancel their preorder they are invited to contact their retailer. They will be updated on the project as the development is moving along.”

Seems like Ubisoft is taking its own time to polish the project to perfection. There is no new news about a release window either. So, it is probable there is some more time till we relive nostalgia once again with this remake.
