While the fans of Call of Duty are waiting for this year’s upcoming Modern Warfare 2 installment, there’s a lot of planning going on for the overall series. At least, that’s what the latest leak suggests regarding Activision’s roadmap ahead. Especially for an unlikely platform in Nintendo Switch!
According to the reputed industry insider RalphsValve, a famous Call of Duty title is coming soon to the Nintendo Switch console.

Activision to release Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered for Nintendo Switch!
COD: Modern Warfare Remastered is a 2016 game in the iconic franchise, developed by Warzone’s Raven Software, and supervised by Infinity Ward. It was an enhanced version of the original 2007 installment, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
Recently, famous leaker RalphsValve shared some interesting tweets on the Call of Duty series. In one of them, he mentioned that 2016’s Modern Warfare Remastered will “supposedly” arrive for the Nintendo Switch. And that it will mark the debut of the first-person shooter saga on the popular handheld console.
Addressing the confusion, MWR is supposedly coming to Nintendo Switch, it’s first introductory into the Call of Duty franchise for the console.

This implies that the future looks good and promising as far as COD’s presence on Nintendo’s platform is concerned.
Well, these rumors were already floating for the past few months that Activision is planning to launch remastered versions of old titles. But having an entry on the Switch is definitely going to delight the fans of the console. Especially those who have longed for the action series on a Nintendo device.
Meanwhile, the entire focus right now is on this year’s Modern Warfare 2. It’s the direct sequel to its blockbuster predecessor from 2019, developed by Infinity Ward.

As of now, there’s no official detail available on MW2’s gameplay mechanics. Several rumors have suggested that it will bring key changes to the franchise going forward. Along with this game, Warzone 2 is also coming later in 2022. It will carry forward the legacy of the ongoing multiplayer that was originally released in March 2020.
