No one would have thought these two teams would clash in the finals. Undoubtedly, it was a story of two underdogs competing against each other in the best-of-nine final match. Despite both being underdogs, LA Thieves had more edge over NY Subliners. But there was a round where Thieves lost the lead thanks to a glitch.

Los Angeles Thieves lost a Call of Duty Vanguard match due to a glitch

Los Angeles Thieves and New York Subliners were in a draw after the first four rounds. So, the fifth round, Bocage Search & Destroy match, was essential to get a lead in the match. Further, the Subliners were leading 5-4 after nine matches in the fifth round.

The last match of the fifth round was vital for LA Thieves. But during the match’s final minutes, it was a 3v2 situation for the LA Thieves members, Envoy and Octane. They were up against Crimsix, PaulEhx, and Hydra.

Despite the odds, LA Thieves had an opportunity to win that match. Envoy is famous for sneaking from behind attacks, and he tried to do the same with Subliners, who were busy with Octane. Envoy sneaked behind PaulEhx and hit the first shot, but he missed the next shots thanks to the infamous ladder glitch.

How did LA Thieves win the tournament?

Undoubtedly, it was a sour loss for the Thieves. Moreover, it hurt even more because the $500,000 prize pool was on the line. So, the Los Angeles team pulled their socks as they were a point behind the New York Subliners after the fifth round.
