Twelve teams featured in Call Of Duty’s Major 4, all fighting for glory. Each of them had their eye on the $500,000 cash prize along with the hope of watching their team name dazzle on the board. But we know that someone needs to lose for the other to win, with every player giving their best. And this time, it was the LA Thieves that came out strong as they defeated OpTic Texas in the finals.
The LA Thieves had not performed up to the mark beside the one championship victory, leading to disappointment among fans. This led to OpTic Texas becoming the favorites for the night as they featured in a clean chit against Atlanta FaZe. Despite the latter’s stronghold, OpTic players found loopholes that led to a comfortable win.
But then, it turned out to be a miraculous night for the 100 Thieves COD team as they took control of the game right from the start. Moreover, every player contributed, keeping the whole team in sync and finally reaching glory. To talk about the best player, it was none other than Sam “Octane” Larew, who was crowned as the MVP. Sam finished Major 4 with a 1.16 KD along with excellent coms and team play. His wit helped the LA Thieves run out of tricky situations and secure the map instantly.
Post the tournament, the LA Thieves Twitter page uploaded a post that read ‘Long Live The King.’ And here’s how fans reacted to their win.
