Recently KSI sat down for a podcast with his business partner Logan Paul. During their conversation, the topic of Creator Monetization came up. And everyone present in the room seemed to agree that Twitter is not paying that much right now. To further prove his point, KSI shared his previous month’s earnings.

“I get pretty good impressions, I’d say like in hundreds of millions,” KSI claimed. Even after getting a high number of impressions, KSI revealed he only got $1590 in August. This revelation brought laughter to the members of the podcast, with one claiming KSI can get an apartment in Denver with this money.

Logan Paul also jumped in and said, “There are going to be people that say ‘You got $1500 from Twitter!’ Which is cool. But comparatively, what we are saying is for hundreds of millions [views] on YouTube that’s hundreds of thousands of dollars.” This conversation from the content creators at the highest level might portray Twitter in a bad light for revenue. And this may hamper Musk’s plans.

Will low revenue cause Elon Musk to change plans for Twitter?

Elon Musk is actively trying to revamp the social media platform into an all-in-one app. A key role in the change is bringing content creators and their content over to his platform. However, according to the stats, Twitter pays $8.52 per million impressions. On the other hand, YouTube pays well over $3,000 for a million views.

The rate of producing content should also be taken into account for this. A user can send out a tweet in 30 seconds, while on the other hand, a 10-minute video on YouTube can consume well over an hour to create. While Twitter is currently not the first choice of content creators, monetization will certainly be a huge motivating factor for creators.
