Kojima executive states new horror title is in production

Studio art director for Kojima, Yoji Shinkawa, appeared on Podcast Al Hub. He shed light on everything that is going behind the scenes and what fans can expect from them. The studio is keenly looking forward to picking up the horror genre once again.

It teased the trailer for P.T nearly six years ago, which sent shock waves through the world. However, some major issues within the studio compelled it to drop the project altogether. It was later revealed to be a Silent Hill title that was originally going to star actor Norman Reedus.

“Well yeah, I am doing something, for sure, and I could tell you probably that we can announce it quite soon.”

According to VG24x7 the studio is looking to create the scariest horror title yet. The inputs from Yoji point towards a re-imagination of a Silent Hill game or a brand new title. The studio could not continue production of the aforementioned title, which seemed like a missed opportunity. However, it can certainly rectify this by revisiting its top-rated horror franchise once again.
