YouTube boxing had became an immensely popular internet event in recent years. Although most of the credit to bring the influencer boxing matches goes to the Paul brothers and KSI. Once in 2009, way before these creators even became famous, Kim Kardashian had a social media boxing match.

It was a charity match between several Kardashian family members and some popular entities like Caitlyn Jenner (formerly known as William Bruce Jenner), a retired Olympic gold medalist. The match had some shocking turn of events when Rob Kardashian was even admitted to the hospital.
Kim Kardashian participates in a boxing match, way before KSI and Logan Paul did!
In a charity boxing match from 2009, it was seen that Kim Kardashian had a tough time fighting her opponent Tamara Frapasella, where she proved to have an upper hand on Kim because of her height, or that was what many thought. Although Kim Kardashian fought for a better cause, it was still not enough to prove her boxing prowess.
The match was called “Kardashian Charity Knockout” and the boxing match was actually an episode from a real-life documentary-style TV show named, “Keeping Up with the Kardashians”. Notably, the match was actually held to raise funds for terminally ill adults, and being the well-known socialites that Kardashians are, it was one of the very first celebrity matches in known history.
Notably though, since the match took place in 2009, it can be easily called one of the first celebrity boxing matches on social media even before KSI and Logan Paul made it famous in 2019. This means that Kim Kardashian was a decade ahead of the beloved YouTube stars.
Eventually, Kim promised a cancer patient named Carol Ann that she will not leave the match without trying. She said, “I didn’t want to be a coward in front of someone who was fighting for their life.”
Kim’s brother had to take a beating and get admitted to the hospital
Kim Kardashian’s younger brother Rob Kardashian was also a boxer for the event, and he eventually fought James Taylor, who was a trained boxer and also had a slight weight advantage over himself. Eventually, though, Rob wasn’t able to cope with his opponent and suffered a concussion, landing him in a hospital bed.

Although some might think that it wasn’t necessary to take such drastic measures for a fundraising match, the fact that it was a historic moment and the change of an entire sport towards celebrities says a lot.
