Recently, Twitch CEO Dan Clancy made some intriguing revelations in an interview. The Twitch chief illustrated the next planned roadmap of the platform in the highly heated up competition with the constantly rising popularity of Kick. This included an address to the most often asked query which is about the converting permabans. For context, there are a lot of streamers that are currently permabanned from the Amazon-owned platform. These include streaming icons like IShowSpeed, Adin Ross, and many more.
The CEO had a rather exciting response this time. “This is an area that we are looking at to figure out what’s the right way to give people another chance. The tricky thing is, you need to do this in a scalable way… Whenever you talk about one specific example, one specific person, but people forget that we need to have a similar opportunity for that affiliate that had five concurrent viewers that did it, as we do for these big streamers.”

The platform has lost the majority of its traffic to competitors like Kick during the last few months.
Many well-known figures in the community have criticized Twitch’s new policies as being unfair to the creators. After the backlash, it forced the site to issue a statement outlining the rules. Then it said that the subsequent upgrades would be delayed. Although the new policy announcement was sufficient to persuade several well-known figures to leave Twitch.
