His philanthropic videos are life-changing for the people who receive the gift. Moreover, these are some of the core elements of his brand identity. But when the popular American rapper Kevin Gates tried to do the same trick, it did not end in the expected way.

Kevin Jerome Gilyard, who is popularly known by his stage name Kevin Gates, is an American rapper and singer. The popular rapper took a page from MrBeast’s book to try something a bit different.

The 37-year-old artist wanted to change the life of a random stranger through a genuine gesture. He wanted to give away $45K to a random stranger. But Gates also wanted to spice this up as well.

Thus, on top of what he was giving, he was about to ask the random person to quit the job that they were doing.

For the giveaway, Kevin Gates went to a Chick-fil-A. He approached the person who attended to him and showed her the stack of the bundled $45K dollars. After showing it, he gave her the task. Gates asked the worker to quit her job on the spot to get this hefty amount.

But what followed was not something that Gates had in mind. The worker denied his challenge and declined to take the money from him. This was a surprising turn of events.

Though these types of activities work wonders for someone like MrBeast, it did not go as planned for Kevin Gates.

This on-spot denial confused the internet

Netizens who witnessed the act were quite surprised. People thought that the worker would take the money and was shocked when vice versa happened.

Many were criticizing the worker as well. They stated that $45K was a huge amount, and the worker was committing a blunder by not accepting it.

Others talked about the reasons she wanted to stick with the job. Furthermore, people were telling the worker to find a different job elsewhere if she loves working at a fast-food chain.
