Bill Gates is widely known for holding the richest man on earth title for a long time. William Henry Gates III is an American business magnate, software developer, investor, author, and philanthropist. He is a co-founder of Microsoft, along with his late childhood friend Paul Allen.
Moreover, since 1987, Gates has been included in the Forbes list of the world’s wealthiest people. Not to mention, he played a huge contribution to the success of Microsoft from scratch. Surprisingly, not many people know Bill was the original game author of DONKEY.BAS along with his partner, Neil Konzen.

Donkey, also known by its file name DONKEY.BAS, is a computer game written in 1981. It is a driving game that prohibits players from hitting donkeys appearing on the lane to keep making significant progress. In the video, the creator also included Bill’s own opinion about the game.
The clip mentioned Bill’s words, “Actually, it was myself and Neil at four in the morning with this prototype IBM PC sitting in this small room. We wrote late at night a little application to show what the Basic built into the IBM PC could do. And so that was DONKEY. BAS. It was at the time very thrilling.”
