Its unique concept of merging open-world mechanics with the Pokemon universe has taken fans by a surprise, with gamers spending hours on the title. Astonishingly, NBA All-Star Jarrett Allen is also a vivid enthusiast.
While it’s a well-known fact that the Cavaliers player is a massive Nintendo fan, it should be safe to say the latest Pokemon title is one of his favorite ones. In a fascinating story, renowned media outlet’s editor, Evan Dammarell, has revealed that the all-star “unable to pause Pokemon Legends: Arceus” after finding out about his incredible achievement, i.e. the All-Star call-up.

NBA All-Star Jarett Allen is a massive Pokemon Legend: Arceus fan
Jarrett Allen currently plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers and will make his first-ever NBA All-star debut this season. The 23-year-old was named as a replacement for Philadelphia 76ers player, James Harden. Allen will join Team LeBron as a reserve in the NBA All-Star game this season.
But there’s an interesting tale of how Jarrett Allen found out he will feature in the much-awaited game this season.
#Cavs head coach J.B. Bickerstaff said that Jarrett Allen was unable to pause Pokemon Legends: Arceus so that’s what led to a quick conversation about him being named to the All-Star team.
Allen seemed to appreciate the message and went back to playing.

According to the editor for Fear the Sword, Evan Dammarell, Cavaliers Head Coach, J. B. Bickerstaff was the one to break the spectacular news to Allen. However, while informing Allen of the NBA’s decision to select him for the All-Star Game, the Nintendo fan was busy hunting Pokemons in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Although he did “appreciate the message” Allen did not pause the game.
Clearly, he was quite busy playing the widely hyped game. Well, as a true Pokemon trainer would say, you gotta catch ’em all, don’t you? Or maybe he stumbled across some rare sightings? Only Jarret Allen would know the answer to those questions.
