Second, the video game company also ventured into the motion pictures business by launching a dedicated website for the same.

Successful businesses are always looking for opportunities to expand as they want to scale their business from a ‘baby’ to an ‘adult.’ And with Nintendo already ruling over the gaming industry, it was time for them to move on.

As a result, the franchise decided upon launching movies, helping their fans learn deeply about their favorite characters. So, the company decided to launch with a massive announcement as its first feature. They decided on presenting a Mario movie, starring the legendary actor Chris Pratt as the voice of their main man.

The trailer received a tremendous response right from day one, letting Nintendo have faith in their product launch. However, that made fas start multiple arguments about whether the franchise would focus enough on motion picture projects. Nintendo’s already a multi-billion dollar company that has invested in another one having a similar potential, so this question from fans stays uptight.

Plus, if you look at it from a fan’s perspective, Nintendo also has a vast library of characters just like Marvel. While Marvel has already established itself in the movie industry, they do try and contribute little to video games. After all, who does not like to make some extra cash? Similarly, Nintendo has a massive library to choose from. It is the bare minimum that we can expect.
